The only one IDC Building in Taiwan where the major private and consortium submarine cables converge can quickly deliver submarine cable exchange and backup services.

Taiwan is located at the midpoint of the First Island Chain in East Asia. The critical geographical location contributes to the convergence of 90% submarine cable systems in the Asia-Pacific region. Owing to carrier-neutrality and the clustering effect, Chief Telecom’s IDC has become the first choice for submarine cable operators, global carriers and ICPs to set up PoPs in Taiwan. Currently, there are more than 10 international submarine cable systems landing in Taiwan; Chief also acts as the major gateway of submarine cables. Additionally, Chief has built a strategic partnership with 11 ASEAN countries. Its importance is self-evident to Taiwan’s global connectivity.  Given that the demands for cloud services and internet traffic have proliferated, Chief Telecom offers one stop service with the carrier-neutral IDC, TPIX, TPCX, CCX and a wide range of cloud-based services in order to better meet customer needs.

Additionally,  Chief will complete the THREE RINGS and THREE LINES network infrastructure this year. The three rings are including Taipei Ring- connecting Chief’s three IDC buildings together with optical fibers, Taiwan Ring- connecting Taiwan domestic metropolitan areas and the science parks in Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung. The optical fiber ports for each site can support 1Gbps/10Gbps/100Gbps fiber connections.
