The Power of Connectivity: Scaling the Global Ecosystem at Chief Telecom’s AIDC Hub
Chief Telecom’s 3-to-5-Year Growth Plan: Focusing on Three Strategic Pillars

Chief Telecom (6561.TWO) has unveiled its strategic 3-to-5-year development roadmap, centered around three core pillars: AI Data Centers (AIDC), Digital Convergence Ecosystem, and Cyber & Network Resilience. Chairman Jerry Shao stated that Chief Telecom will maintain its leadership position in AIDC data centers, leveraging digital convergence as the “lifeblood” to expand its business ecosystem, while reinforcing network resilience through advanced security architecture. President Johnny Liu emphasized that the core business strategy is focused on scaling each operational pillar: “Building an ever-widening competitive moat makes it virtually impossible for rivals to compete with Chief Telecom.”
Surpassing JPIX: Chief Telecom Targets Top Asia-Pacific Digital Exchange Hub
“What Chief Telecom has consistently executed is playing the essential role of a digital convergence hub,” Liu noted. Like facilitating the seamless flow of goods and people, Chief Telecom enables the frictionless exchange of digital data.
Currently, membership in Chief Telecom’s Taiwan Internet Exchange (TPIX) continues to grow rapidly, reaching 298 members as of August 10. TPIX ranks 36th globally, having officially surpassed Japan’s JPIX, with its sights now set on overtaking Hong Kong’s HKIX.
The Future of AI Infrastructure: Integrating AIDC, Cloud, and Network Resilience
Shao highlighted that “digital convergence acts as our lifeblood,” interconnecting Chief Telecom’s overarching business ecosystem. Chief Telecom positions itself as a market leader in AI-enabled AIDCs. Beyond delivering raw computing power, Chief offers cloud and virtualization (VM) services to build a future-proof data center ecosystem that generates higher synergies for enterprise clients while driving Chief’s business growth.
As subsea cable and cloud data services expand their capacity, cybersecurity will play an increasingly critical role in network resilience over the next five years—an area Chief Telecom is actively deploying solutions for.

Overall, Chief Telecom’s 3-to-5-year business strategy revolves around a “Scale Expansion” model. President Liu pointed out that by integrating AIDC, network data, cloud services, cybersecurity, and value-added applications, Chief continues to expand its operational footprint, fortifying its market leadership. Liu stressed that as each business segment grows larger and stronger, competitors will find it increasingly difficult to catch up.
Chief is set to expand with a brand-new AIDC facility in Yunlin. If occupancy rates remain strong, Chief does not rule out breaking ground on yet another AIDC center next year much like the continuous terminal expansions at Taoyuan International Airport.
How Chief Telecom Connects the World with 2000G International Bandwidth
Parallel to the expansion of its AIDC infrastructure, Chief Telecom’s international bandwidth connecting global markets has surged from an initial 100G to nearly 1000G (1 Tbps) today. Liu stated that growth will accelerate over the next 2 to 3 years, rapidly approaching 2000G (2 Tbps) capacity.
Last year, Chief Telecom was awarded the International Subsea Cable Capacity Leasing License by Taiwan’s NCC—the first time since 2002 that the regulatory body re-issued this license. This allows Chief to participate as a co-investor when subsea cable consortiums build new routes, attracting even more global carriers into Chief’s IDC ecosystem. Coupled with Chief’s active development of AI-enabled value-added applications such as ” Chief i Health,” every facet of Chief Telecom’s business is poised to grow larger and stronger.
