The COVID-19 epidemic has gradually slowed down. The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) statement shows that the numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths have steadily declined globally, and Taiwan will gradually ease border controls. In line with the CECC’s general guidelines, Chief IDC will make appropriate adjustments to control measures based on the COVID-19 situation. In consideration of the safety and rights of IDC and customers, Chief IDC will comply with the related regulations and further take strict prevention measures to ensure the normal operation of data centers.
The access control measures of data centers are listed below, effective from 0:00 on August 22, 2022.
- In addition to temperature measurement and disinfection when entering IDC, certificates or records of three-dose COVID-19 vaccination are required for all visitors. Certificates or records of two-dose COVID-19 vaccination, plus reporting a negative rapid antigen test result before entering IDC, are acceptable as well.
- Restriction that the same personnel/operator is not allowed to enter Chief’s LY and HD buildings has been cancelled. An on-site rapid antigen test with a negative result is required for all visitors when entering Chief’s LY and HD buildings within a week (7 days).
- Restriction that the couriers are not allowed to enter IDC buildings has been cancelled. (Parcel delivery and food delivery are excluded.)
- CHIEF IDC will implement single-entry/exit access control. Before entering IDC, make sure your hands disinfected with hand sanitizers, and all the visitors shall pass temperature measurement and wear masks. If there is a fever (forehead temperature higher than 37.5 °C or ear temperature higher than 38 °C), the visitor will be refused to enter IDC buildings.
