Chief Telecom (6561) today announced its consolidated revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2024, reaching NT$1.005 billion, with an EPS of NT$3.33. This represents a quarterly revenue growth of 14.04%, marking the first time it surpassed the NT$1 billion milestone in a single quarter. This also represents the fifth consecutive quarter of record-breaking revenue. Accumulated revenue for Q1 to Q3 of this year stands at NT$2.76 billion, with an EPS of NT$9.73, hitting new heights.
Chief has successfully capitalized on the AI boom, further fueled by trends in IDC and network connectivity, contributing to the sales of new LY2 AI data center exceeding expectations and driving a powerful flywheel effect. Since the launch of LY2 AI data center, there has been significant revenue growth across various services, including IDC colocation, network services, and cloud services. Additionally, as of now, Chief Telecom’s TPIX, the largest internet exchange center in Taiwan, has 190 members, ranking 74th globally.
Since June this year, to meet the rapidly growing demand for AI computing power in the Asia region, Chief Telecom has actively sought strategic partners. Chief has successfully established a pioneering strategic partnership with GCS, a leading cloud service provider, and GMI Cloud, a Nvidia-certified cloud service provider. The tripartite alliance combines Chief Telecom’s robust data center infrastructure, GCS’s cloud expertise, and GMI Cloud’s GPU computing capabilities to deliver cutting-edge AI cloud computing services tailored for the Asian market, offering enterprises diverse, flexible and reliable solutions.
In July, Chief collaborated with strategic partners, Supermicro and ENLight Corp. to establish Taiwan’s Artificial Intelligence Computing Center (AICC). AICC will be “the first in Asia” to use Nvidia’s advanced H200 AI chips.
