Taiwan's semiconductor manufacturer adopts CCX
Chief Telecom wins customer trust and loyalty with professional services
Taiwan’s semiconductor industry is world-renowned. It stands out from those world-class manufacturers and creates its own blue ocean market business. In addition to relying on high-tech R&D and advanced production technologies, “cloudification” is the best tool for connecting to the world. A well-known semiconductor manufacturer in Taiwan adopted Chief Cloud eXchange (shorted for CCX) service, which not only successfully solved the problem of network disconnection, but also provided the high reliability, high delivery rate and connection speed of up to 10Gbps. The high-quality network service also allows the semiconductor manufacturer to strongly expand the overseas markets.
According to the manager of the semiconductor manufacturer, about 4 years ago, they used PSTN to connect to the internet, but frequently suffered from the unstable network connection. A sudden network disconnection have had a serious impact on transferring important documents and a large number of graphics files to foreign manufacturers, and led to the loss of business opportunities.
At that time, the customer had discussed about “cloud migration”, and prepared for public cloud deployment. However, there were various problems arising from connecting to public cloud via the internet, including the stability of network connection, security, and high risk capital investment, etc. When it comes to the enterprise operational goals, these have become new challenges when migrating to the cloud.
Later, the customer learned that Chief Telecom has the largest cloud exchange center in Taiwan, providing private direct connections to the most widely-used global cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud and Oracle Cloud, etc. Customers can select any of the global cloud service providers through private connection (dedicated line or VPN), so as to eliminate the concerns about cloud services.
The manager of the semiconductor manufacturer said, “Since our company occupies a position in the global semiconductor industry, it is not trivial to implement the cloud services entirely. We spent nearly one year discussing the whole process of CCX service with Chief Telecom. During this time, Chief Telecom built a cross-departmental team, including the sales account manager, the technical support department, the network department, the marketing department, the customer service department, as well as a dedicated project engineer. The team provided us with the best solutions based on our needs, which makes our management team feel impressed and have a complete confidence in CCX service.”
After a one-year preliminary work, it contributes to more consistent confidence between us. Although there are many network providers trying to gain this cloud migration project, eventually Chief won the competition. Chief Telecom assisted the semiconductor manufacturer to complete the cloud deployment for their overseas branches. After utilizing the CCX service to directly connect to the global clouds, the customer can benefit a more secure private connection, as well as high reliability and high delivery rate, so as to ensure that business opportunities will not be easily lost. In the future, Chief Telecom will dedicate itself to CCX one-stop platform service to enable direct connection to global public clouds in order to assist more Taiwanese enterprises to successfully complete the cloud migration in response to digital transformation.
